Administrative Assistant (Thursdays and Fridays)
About This Role
Court Lane Junior School are recruiting an Administrative Assistant to work 2 days per week on Thursdays and Fridays. This role is the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff, pupils and contributes to the smooth running of the reception and medical room.
We are looking for someone who has a friendly, positive and helpful attitude when dealing with a broad range of topics. This is a very busy and varied role; it requires an individual who has good communication and interpersonal skills and is able to organise and prioritise their work. A valid first aid qualification is desirable, but training will be given.
You will also be the principal point of contact for all first-aid related tasks. These will include (but are not limited to) administration of medicines in line with school policies and procedures, dealing with first aid incidents and maintaining first aid records and supplies. In addition to this, you will be part of the school Admin team and provide a professional and efficient administrative service within the school office, supporting the Coastal Plain Partnership Finance Manager, Academy Operations Officer and the Data Officer in all aspects of school office administration
In return, you will be part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust, bringing you added benefits and opportunities. You will find that each of our academies has a unique identity, but a shared belief in creating a positive and enriching environment, where all staff feel valued.
The successful candidate will also need to have an Enhanced DBS check as this role involves contact with children.
Visits to the school are welcomed and strongly encouraged. For an informal discussion to learn more about this post and our school, please phone the Coastal Plain Partnership Finance Manager on 023 92 375444
The University of Chichester Academy Trust
You will be part of The University of Chichester Academy Trust, which is uniquely positioned to make a difference in the local educational landscape. The Trust currently encompasses 17 academies, 2 Inclusion centres, and a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training base, all based in Hampshire, Portsmouth, and West Sussex. While we share a common vision and values, each academy has its own identity that contributes to its local community. The Trust is committed to valuing the uniqueness of each school.
Two-Week October Half Term
We have introduced a two-week October half-term across all our schools. This initiative is already making a positive impact, giving staff and pupils a valuable break during the long autumn term, reducing absence through illness, and supporting overall well-being. It also brings greater consistency across our Trust, creating a more connected and efficient way of working. It’s just one example of how we prioritise our people and create a working environment where everyone can thrive.
Diversity and Inclusion
At the University of Chichester Academy Trust, we believe that diversity drives creativity, innovation, and excellence. We are committed to providing equality of opportunity, fostering an inclusive culture, and creating a community where everyone feels they belong. We particularly welcome applications from individuals who are underrepresented within our workforce, including those from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic backgrounds, disabled individuals, LGBTQI+ individuals, and women—especially for senior leadership roles.
