For a suitably experienced candidate, there may also be an opportunity to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and contribute to the wider strategic leadership and development of the school.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Is passionate about inclusion and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
  • Has a strong understanding of special educational needs and disabilities and the ability to develop effective, inclusive provision.
  • Can lead, inspire and support colleagues in meeting the needs of all learners.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can build positive relationships with children, parents, staff and external professionals.
  • Is organised, proactive and able to manage the responsibilities of both classroom teaching and SEND coordination.
  • Is flexible and willing to teach across the primary age range.
  • Is committed to supporting and promoting the Catholic ethos and values of our school.
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and meets, or is willing to work towards meeting, the statutory SENCo qualification requirements.

We are proud to offer:

  • A warm, welcoming and caring Catholic school community.
  • Wonderful pupils with a positive and enthusiastic attitude to learning.
  • A friendly, dedicated and supportive staff team.
  • A commitment to your professional development and continuous learning.
  • Supportive leadership and governors who are committed to the continued development of our school.
  • Dedicated time to undertake SENCo responsibilities.
  • Flexible working arrangements of four or five days per week.
  • The potential opportunity to contribute to the school's Senior Leadership Team, depending on experience.

Come and visit us!

We warmly encourage prospective applicants to visit our school, meet our wonderful children and staff, and experience for themselves what makes St Marie’s such a special place to work.
