Join Our Team

Durham School for Girls Doha is seeking a remarkable and dedicated EYFS Teacher who is qualified and trained within the UK education system, with a solid understanding of the UK National Curriculum and EYFS statutory requirements.

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of experience teaching EYFS within a UK school environment, effectively delivering the UK EYFS curriculum, and demonstrating a strong understanding of best practices in early childhood education. The primary goal of this role is to ensure that all teaching staff at Durham School for Girls (DSGD) adhere to UK Teaching Standards (TS), while aligning their practices with the school's MARK values, policies, and cultural expectations set by the Qatari Ministry of Education (MOE). This includes delivering engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and promoting both academic and personal growth. Staff members are expected to maintain professional conduct, collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, and actively participate in the school community. They must also ensure that all teaching methodologies, curriculum plans, and resources reflect DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics. Additionally, this role involves the ongoing professional development of staff, adherence to school policies, and support for student well-being and high-performance learning (HPL) strategies. Ultimately, the aim is to cultivate a positive, respectful, and effective learning environment that encourages growth for both students and educators.

- Create and deliver engaging lessons that comply with curriculum standards and address the diverse needs of learners.
- Plan and implement curriculum content in line with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics.
- Utilize assessments effectively to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
- Maintain regular and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance learning.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and relevant stakeholders regarding academic performance.
- Encourage student well-being by nurturing personal growth, resilience, and positive relationships.
- Actively engage in professional development to continuously enhance teaching practices.
- Exemplify the school’s MARK values in all interactions and serve as a positive representative for DSGD.
- Utilize school communication platforms effectively to share information, resources, and updates.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and opportunities for community engagement.
- Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare policies to ensure student protection.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
- Ensure all teaching materials, planning, and curriculum content reflect Qatari national values and MOE ethics.
