The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Secondary Science Teacher to guide students in Key Stages 3–4. The successful applicant will craft engaging, inquiry-based Science lessons and play a pivotal role in the school’s pastoral care and environmental initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality Science lessons that align with curriculum standards
- Foster practical, inquiry-driven learning and encourage critical thinking abilities
- Integrate real-world scientific and environmental issues into the curriculum
- Monitor, evaluate, and support student progress
- Act as a form tutor, focusing on student wellbeing
- Participate in enrichment activities, clubs, and sustainability projects
- Comply with safeguarding and child protection policies
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Valid teaching qualification in Science
- Experience working with secondary-aged students (KS3–KS4 preferred)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to holistic education and sustainability values
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the UK or Cambridge curriculum
- Experience in pastoral care or serving as a form tutor
- Ability to lead a science club
