Compensation & Placement
The salary for this role is determined according to the Havergal Faculty Grid, with early-career educators earning between $74,711 – $106,714, while those with over six years of experience can expect a range of $107,078 – $140,448. Final placement will be contingent upon recognized teaching experience, educational qualifications, and Additional Qualifications (AQs).

The Position:
As the STEM Coordinator, you will lead the development of a cohesive JK–6 STEM program that engages students in science and technology through inquiry, design thinking, real-world problem-solving, and interdisciplinary learning. Working collaboratively with faculty, students, and school leadership, you will create engaging and meaningful educational experiences that adhere to the Ontario curriculum. In alignment with Havergal's mission to prepare young women for impactful futures, this position empowers educators to focus on student thinking, spark curiosity, and promote agency in every learner.
The ideal candidate for the STEM Coordinator role is an experienced educator with a deep understanding of student-centered pedagogy and inquiry-based learning. You will bring an innovative mindset and demonstrate instructional leadership by enabling teachers to design and facilitate enriching STEM experiences. With a genuine passion for science and technology, you will build strong collaborations with colleagues and act as an informed ally in enhancing teaching and learning.
As part of the Junior School faculty and a member of a collaborative team of curriculum coordinators, you will actively participate in the school's community. You will work closely with faculty, engage parents in their daughters' educational journeys, and show a commitment to ongoing professional growth. Your responsibilities will include creating a supportive environment for students and fostering a love for learning.
