ELA Catalyst

Big River First Nation Education is seeking an ELA Catalyst to join the education team for the 2026-2027 school year.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create a nurturing and interactive learning environment for students
- Conduct professional development workshops for educators
- Aid in the planning and implementation of educational programs
- Collaborate with students on lesson planning, co-teaching, and mentoring
- Implement an effective literacy curriculum using best practices for teaching reading and writing
- Adapt lesson plans throughout the year as necessary
- Track and evaluate students’ progress

Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and scheduling skills
- Bachelor of Education degree and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
- Proficiency in teaching students with varying abilities
- Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Curriculum
- Experience in diverse cultural settings is a plus
- Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Ability to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
- Verification of previous teaching experience is necessary, if applicable
