Art & Design Teacher (CIE IGCSE/A-Level)

Wuhan Ulink College of China Optics Valley (Ulink Wuhan School) is an emerging institution that commenced operations in August 2014. As an authorized center of Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), we provide IGCSE/A-Level programs for Chinese students aged 14-19. We are part of the Ulink Education Group, which pioneered the introduction of Cambridge A-Level in China 15 years ago. Currently, Ulink Education Group boasts campuses in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou, and Wuhan, with over 3000 alumni, more than 130 of whom have gained admission to Oxbridge. We are distinguished as the only school in China to receive the Excellence in Education accolade from CAIE (formerly CIE). At Ulink College Wuhan, we are dedicated to fostering student-centered professional practices, supporting the holistic development of our students, and equipping them for an international lifestyle. Although our graduates are few, they have been accepted into some of the world’s leading universities, including the University of Oxford, Imperial College, UCL, and the University of Warwick in the UK, as well as McGill University, the University of Toronto, and UBC in Canada, and the Australian National University, Melbourne University, and the University of Sydney in Australia. Our school is located in Wuhan, which is centrally positioned in China, providing 4-5 hour high-speed train access to major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. Wuhan is a city enriched with a profound history and a vibrant present, boasting rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes, alongside numerous historic and cultural sites. Notable attractions include the Three Gorges Dam, the world’s largest hydroelectric project; Shennongjia Mountain, recognized by UNESCO’s Man and Biosphere program; and Wudang Mountain, listed among World Cultural and Natural Heritage sites. Upon your arrival in Wuhan, our dedicated administrative team will assist you in settling in and will offer ongoing support throughout your stay to ensure a smooth transition. We place significant emphasis on the professional development of our teachers. New staff members will receive a complimentary Cambridge teacher account for accessing valuable resources. For those unfamiliar with Cambridge, we provide opportunities for both online and in-person training sessions. Seasoned Cambridge educators will have the chance to participate in advanced CAIE training. We are on the verge of becoming a PDQ center for CAIE, enabling us to offer Cambridge teacher training and development programs right within our school. As part of the Ulink Education Group, we also facilitate a platform for teachers to share ideas, experiences, and resources with colleagues from other Ulink schools. As a young and growing institution, we currently have 260 students and anticipate reaching 300 soon. We offer substantial opportunities for career advancement. Experienced educators may take on mentor or trainer roles, while those aspiring to leadership positions will have the chance to pursue head of department or senior administrative roles.
