The School

The Position

We are seeking a talented and passionate Teacher of Chemistry to join our dynamic Secondary School immediately, providing temporary coverage for a potential extended medical leave.

This full-time role involves teaching Science at Key Stage 3, as well as Chemistry at the IGCSE and IB Diploma levels.

You will be part of a vibrant and supportive Science department that plays a key role within the school, with students consistently exceeding UK and international academic benchmarks. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences, capable of igniting students' enthusiasm for Chemistry and Science, and eager to participate fully in the wider activities of the school.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification
  • Have experience in teaching Chemistry to students at the school leaving age
  • Demonstrate a student-centered approach, effective classroom management, and adaptability to diverse learning needs
  • Enjoy collaborating with colleagues, sharing best practices, and contributing to the ongoing growth of the department
