Aldar Education is seeking a talented Teacher of Further Mathematics (A-Levels) to become part of Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi for the academic year 2026-2027.

Responsibilities
• Assist the academy in achieving its overall vision and strategic objectives, contributing to the targets set within the academy's improvement plan and self-evaluation form.
• Comply with health and safety regulations while adhering to the academy's policies concerning safe working practices and equal opportunity legislation.
• Follow the academy's Performance Management Policy by establishing challenging annual targets and acting as a performance management reviewer when instructed by the Principal.
• Engage in annual training focused on child protection, safeguarding, and health and safety, along with any additional training deemed necessary for the enhancement of the academy or performance management.
• Attend all staff meetings.
• Create an environment that encourages exceptional learning and teaching.
• Set clear teaching objectives and define instructional and assessment methods.
• Develop tasks that engage students and promote high levels of involvement.
• Establish clear targets that build upon students' previous achievements.
• Identify students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or those who are particularly gifted.
• Provide clearly structured lessons that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge.
• Use assessments effectively to ensure thorough coverage of the curriculum.
• Utilize performance data and key indicators to guide lesson planning, delivering differentiated instruction tailored to individual needs.
• Ensure effective teaching and optimal utilization of available instructional time.
• Maintain a supportive learning environment in line with academy policies, encouraging punctuality, behavior, work standards, and compliance with homework requirements.
• Employ a variety of teaching strategies to:
• Customize approaches to content, organize information, emphasize key concepts, and use appropriate vocabulary.
• Implement effective questioning techniques, actively listen to students, and address errors and misconceptions.
• Select appropriate learning resources and promote study skills through library, ICT, and other educational technologies.
• Ensure students gain and reinforce knowledge, skills, and understanding pertinent to the subject.
• Critically assess personal teaching methods to improve effectiveness.
• Evaluate, monitor, and provide feedback on students' work, setting targets for their progress.
• Systematically document students' progress, maintaining comprehensive records to assess understanding, monitor strengths and areas for improvement, inform planning, and acknowledge student achievement levels.
• Conduct assessments as required by examination boards, departmental, and academy protocols.
• Prepare and submit informative reports to parents.
• Engage in subject-related activities or aspects of the academy's operations, creating plans with specific targets and success criteria for their development or maintenance.
• Contribute to the academy's visioning initiatives.
• Strive to provide every child with opportunities to realize their potential and maintain high expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective resource sharing that benefits the academy, department, and students.
• Participate in the academy's corporate life by actively engaging in meetings and management systems essential for coordinating leadership and management.
• Involve yourself in marketing and liaison activities, such as Open evenings/afternoons, Parent Teacher Consultations, and events with partner academies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field along with a teaching qualification.
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a specialized subject up to GCSE and A Level.
