Primary Class Teacher
About This Role
Doha Academy, a dynamic network of educational institutions located in the vibrant capital of Qatar, was established in 2000. Currently, it comprises three schools and provides a KG-13 curriculum that is aligned with both the British educational system and the Qatar national curriculum. The Academy is dedicated to nurturing globally-minded, lifelong learners through an extensive educational framework that is rooted in local cultural values and traditions.
As an ambitious entity governed by Al Faleh Educational Holding, which includes AFG College in partnership with the University of Aberdeen, Doha Academy offers excellent opportunities for career advancement to staff who are driven, innovative, and focused on student success.
This is a pivotal moment for the Academy. In early 2022, it received full Qatar National Schools’ Accreditation (QNSA) and was awarded full international accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in November 2022, while embarking on its premier “ACE Learning” pathway.
As the organization grows, we are eager to connect with qualified and experienced Primary educators who view teaching as a calling. Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree or B.Ed (completed through face-to-face study) along with a recognized teaching qualification. While Doha Academy primarily seeks teachers from the UK and Ireland, candidates with Primary teaching credentials from other regions will also be considered.
Interviews will be conducted either in person in Doha or online for candidates applying from abroad.
The school is devoted to safeguarding and advancing the welfare of children and young individuals, and it expects all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment.
