About This Role
The American School of Bangkok Green Valley (ASBGV) is seeking a passionate and skilled High School Math Teacher to join our dynamic educational team! Key Responsibilities:
- Teach high school mathematics courses, including Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-Algebra II, and Physics.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning.
- Utilize technology, project-based learning, and real-world applications to enhance student understanding.
- Adapt instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the math curriculum and encourage interdisciplinary learning.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and academic success.
Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Has a minimum of 2 years of experience teaching high school mathematics in an international or U.S. curriculum setting.
- Experience with AP Math and familiarity with international accreditation standards (e.g., WASC) is preferred.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods in the classroom.
- Exhibits a commitment to student-centered learning, differentiation, and academic excellence.
- Displays excellent communication and collaboration skills in a diverse educational context.
