Durham School for Girls Doha is seeking an outstanding and committed English Teacher. The primary aim of this position is to ensure that all educators at Durham School for Girls (DSGD) comply with UK Teaching Standards (TS) while aligning their practices with the school’s MARK values, policies, and the cultural expectations set forth by the Qatari Ministry of Education (MOE). Responsibilities include delivering high-quality, engaging lessons designed to cater to the diverse needs of students, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, and promoting both academic and personal development. Staff members are expected to maintain professional standards, collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and contribute positively to the school community. Additionally, they are required to ensure that all teaching methods, curriculum plans, and resources are in accordance with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics. This role also involves supporting ongoing professional development, adhering to school policies, and enhancing student well-being alongside high-performance learning (HPL) strategies. The ultimate goal is to create a positive, respectful, and effective learning environment that nurtures the growth of both students and educators.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that conform to curriculum standards and address diverse learning needs.
- Plan and implement curriculum content that aligns with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics.
- Use assessments effectively to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
