Job Overview
In this role, you will instruct a diverse curriculum in the Lower Secondary phase, with an emphasis on developing strong foundations in numeracy, scientific reasoning, and digital skills. The position requires a learner-centered approach, creative lesson planning, and a commitment to fostering independent thinkers.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach Mathematics and Computing in alignment with the Cambridge Lower Secondary framework
• Create and deliver engaging, customized lessons that cater to a range of learning needs
• Encourage students’ problem-solving capabilities, inquiry skills, and digital literacy
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
• Contribute to curriculum development and interdisciplinary learning initiatives
• Support student wellbeing and aid in their pastoral development
• Collaborate with colleagues and maintain effective communication with parents
• Take part in school events, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable role within an international school
• Valid teaching qualification, such as PGCE with QTS or an equivalent credential
• Knowledge of the Cambridge International Curriculum
• Native English speaker or possess exceptional proficiency in both spoken and written English
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to Values-based Education and Enquiry Learning
• Ability to teach multiple subjects, specifically Mathematics and Computing
