The Amos Okemow Memorial Education Authority operates the Manto Sipi Cree Nation School, a public elementary and secondary institution serving the Manto Sipi Cree Nation (formerly God's River First Nation) in God's River, Manitoba. Located along the north shore of God's Lake at the outlet to God's River—approximately 585 air kilometers northeast of Winnipeg and 255 air kilometers southeast of Thompson—the remote northern setting supports a close-knit Indigenous community. The school provides education from Nursery to Grade 11, following a local Manitoba curriculum tailored to Cree Nation students. In April 1994, the community assumed control of its education system from the federal government, incorporating the Authority as a non-profit entity governed by a five-member Board of Directors elected every two years in October. The school transitioned to a new state-of-the-art facility in April 2022, previously known as Amos Okemow Memorial School (1987–2022) and God's River School (1959–1986). Enrollment stands at approximately 390 students, supported by 22 teachers, 25 educational assistants, and 30 support staff. Leadership includes Director Larry Okemow, Assistant Director Dennis McKay, and Principal Stan Dirkson.
