Job Overview
This role focuses on delivering outstanding instruction in Biology at the AS/A Level, while also contributing to the overall Science curriculum at KS3 and IGCSE. The educator will engage students through hands-on practical experiences and inquiry-based learning, showcasing strong subject expertise.
Key Responsibilities
•
Teach Biology at the AS/A Level, preparing students for their external assessments.
•
Instruct KS3 Science and IGCSE Science, ensuring that students develop a solid foundational knowledge.
•
Create and implement dynamic, practical, and inquiry-driven lessons.
•
Evaluate, monitor, and support student progress through constructive feedback and intervention strategies.
•
Organize and supervise laboratory activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
•
Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the Science department.
•
Promote and support extracurricular activities.
•
Collaborate with colleagues and maintain effective communication with students and parents.
Requirements
•
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
•
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position at an international school.
•
Recognized teaching qualification, such as PGCE with QTS or an equivalent certification.
•
Knowledge of the Cambridge International Curriculum.
•
Native English speaker or possess excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
•
Proven strong classroom management and communication skills.
•
Commitment to Values-based Education and Inquiry Learning.
•
Experience teaching AS/A Level Biology.
