We are currently inviting applications for experienced Secondary English Teachers, with positions available starting in August 2026.

Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons that spark curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for learning.

Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that recognizes and nurtures individual strengths and diverse learning styles.
•
Adapt teaching methods to cater to the varied needs of all students, including EAL learners, gifted individuals, and those requiring extra assistance.
•
Incorporate technology and innovative strategies to boost student engagement and learning outcomes.
•
Effectively assess, document, and communicate student progress, utilizing data to guide instruction and tailored support.
•
Collaborate with colleagues to create and refine curriculum plans, resources, and assessments that align with IB standards.
•
Participate in the broader school community through co-curricular activities, events, and initiatives.
•
Establish positive relationships with parents and the wider school community to enhance student growth and wellbeing.
•
Engage in continuous professional development and self-reflection to improve teaching practices.
•
Embody the GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in all school-related activities.
The ideal candidate will possess:
•
A recognized professional teaching qualification at the degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or an equivalent in English specialization.
•
At least 3 years of substantial and verifiable experience teaching Secondary English, preferably in an IB Curriculum School (though not required).
•
Experience with MYP and DP is preferred but not mandatory.
•
A strong desire to inspire young learners through innovative, inquiry-based teaching methods.
•
