About This Role
Tararua College is seeking a passionate and dedicated mathematics teacher to join our vibrant learning community in Term 2, 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for an educator who is enthusiastic about inspiring students and building strong mathematical understanding across all levels.
The Role
• Teach mathematics across a range of year levels (Years 9–13)
• Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of engaging, innovative learning programmes
• Support students to achieve both academic excellence and confidence in numeracy
• Collaborate within a supportive and forward-thinking mathematics department
Key Responsibilities
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified and registered teacher with a current NZ teaching practising certificate
- Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and effective classroom management
- Values inclusive practice and is committed to supporting diverse learners
