About This Role

Skills and Experience Required

We are seeking a classroom teacher who demonstrates the following:

Teaching and Learning

  • Experience of delivering high-quality teaching in a primary setting, with secure subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Ability to plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that maintain pace and challenge
  • A strong understanding of how to promote pupil progress and achievement for all learners
  • High expectations for both learning and behaviour

Inclusion and Pupil Support



  • Experience of adapting teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and additional needs


  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel supported and able to succeed


  • Understanding of how to identify barriers to learning and provide targeted support

Assessment and Progress



  • Experience of using assessment effectively to inform teaching and learning


  • Ability to track pupil progress and identify next steps


  • Confidence in providing clear, constructive feedback to support improvement

Behaviour and Classroom Management



  • Strong behaviour management skills, including the ability to establish clear routines and expectations


  • Ability to create a calm, safe and purposeful learning environment


  • Experience of promoting positive relationships and consistent standards of conduct

Professional Collaboration



  • Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and external agencies


  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents and carers


  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including events and extracurricular activities

Professional Development and Reflection



  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improving practice


  • Ability to reflect on teaching and respond positively to feedback


  • Awareness of current educational research and developments

Safeguarding and Wellbeing



  • Clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities


  • Commitment to promoting pupil wellbeing and safety at all times
