The Role

The chosen candidate will teach English as an Additional Language across various grade levels, delivering interactive lessons aligned with the American curriculum framework and assisting multilingual learners in developing the language skills necessary for engagement with the wider curriculum.

Key responsibilities include:


Creating and implementing engaging EAL lessons based on the American curriculum


Supporting students in improving their reading, writing, and speaking skills in English


Utilizing student-centered teaching methods that enhance communication, collaboration, and language development


Integrating technology and diverse resources to encourage active learning


Assessing and monitoring student progress through both formative and summative evaluations


Cultivating an inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated and challenged


Collaborating with colleagues to improve curriculum development and instructional approaches


Participating in the broader school community through extracurricular activities and outreach efforts

Qualifications and Experience


A Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, or a related field


A valid teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)


Experience in teaching English as an Additional Language


Familiarity with or training in an American curriculum framework


A passion for student-centered learning and inquiry-based instruction


Strong classroom management and communication abilities

Experience in an international school setting is preferred but not required.
