Aldar Academies is thrilled to introduce an exciting opportunity for a talented Teacher - Primary (KS2 English & Reading) at Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, set to commence in August 2026.

Mamoura British Academy delivers a British curriculum and serves as a co-educational institution up to Year 8, transitioning to a girls-only school from Year 9 onwards. Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning:

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the curriculum.
  • Organize classroom resources and create displays that encourage an engaging learning atmosphere.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to meet the needs of all students.
  • Inspire students through enthusiastic and creative teaching methods.
  • Observe and assess students in line with school assessment guidelines.
  • Reflect on teaching practices, lesson effectiveness, and student progress, adjusting plans and resources as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists or educational psychologists, when required.
  • Incorporate the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA into the curriculum.

Assessment and Data:

  • Take responsibility for class progress.
  • Follow assessment protocols and document student growth using Target Tracker.
  • Use assessment data to guide future planning and interventions.
  • Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behavior Management and Duties:

  • Adhere to the school’s behavior policy.
  • Effectively manage classrooms, employing strategies that address students' diverse needs to inspire and challenge them.
  • Build positive relationships with students, exercise appropriate authority, and take decisive action when necessary within the behavioral framework.
  • Serve as a positive role model, consistently exhibiting the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
  • Uphold high standards for behavior, encouraging self-control and independence among learners.
  • Perform duties as assigned in accordance with school policies.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a curriculum action group, contributing to planning, assessment, and resource development for special events.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in school activities, outings, and events that may take place on weekends or evenings.
  • Effectively communicate with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and well-being using school systems like CPOMS when appropriate.
  • Contribute positively to the broader life and ethos of the school.
  • Lead a weekly extracurricular activity each term.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
