Technician - Motor Vehicle
About This Role
Harrogate College is recruiting for a Technician in Motor Vehicle to join our team. This is a new role within the Motor Vehicle department which is going through an exciting transformation with our building opening in January 2027.
You will support the Motor Vehicle team with technician tasks, such as preparing vehicles and faults for upcoming lessons, supporting learning in practical spaces and maintaining a safe and productive workspace for all. Part of the role will require some administrative duties.
It is a role ideally suited for a person with a passion for Motor Vehicle who wants to support our mechanics of tomorrow.
What You Will Do
- Maintain workshop spaces and equipment to a professional standard.
- Support with practical workshops.
- Monitor and replenish stock.
- Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills to enable progression.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with learners and provide support to ensure successful outcomes.
- Use and promote restorative practice approaches.
- Contribute to the wider team with your knowledge from industry.
