Learning Support Assistant (Maternity Cover) from 01 August 2026 to June 2027

The Glasgow Academy Senior School is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at the Kelvinbridge campus from August 2026, on a maternity cover basis.The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting pupils with additional support needs and to their own professional development and lifelong learning.The ideal candidate will have:

• Patience, understanding and empathy when working with pupils

Experience and qualifications:

• A minimum of six months’ experience working in a UK secondary school setting is preferred
• Experience of working with pupils with additional support needs is essential
• Some knowledge of early intervention support programmes would be advantageous
• Experience of, or interest in, developing the use of digital technology to support learning would be an advantage
