The Post

We are on the lookout for a distinguished educator and leader to fill the role of Head of Computer Science, overseeing the strategic development, advocacy, and management of a department known for its outstanding performance in the region. This position offers a thrilling opportunity for either a current department head or an ambitious and skilled teacher eager to take the next step in their career. As a pivotal middle leadership role within the school, the favored candidate will bring the essential experience and qualifications required for this position.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification, typically from a British university.
• Have a minimum of three years of teaching experience within a British curriculum setting.
• Possess a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Be qualified to instruct A Level Computer Science.
• Have experience in leading a team.
• Prioritize student-focused teaching methodologies.
• Demonstrate a passion for continuous professional development.
• Be eager to fully engage in school activities, contributing to both pastoral care and co-curricular programs.
