Join Our Team

Durham School for Girls Doha is seeking an outstanding and committed Math Teacher. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that all teaching staff at Durham School for Girls (DSGD) meet UK Teaching Standards (TS) while aligning their practices with the school’s MARK values, policies, and the cultural expectations established by the Qatari Ministry of Education (MOE). Responsibilities include delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and supporting both academic and personal growth. Staff members are expected to demonstrate professional behavior, collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and actively engage in the school community. Furthermore, they must ensure that all teaching methods, curriculum plans, and resources are in accordance with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics. This role also involves ongoing professional development, adherence to school policies, and promoting student well-being and high-performance learning (HPL) strategies. Ultimately, this position aims to foster a positive, respectful, and effective learning environment that supports the growth of both students and educators.

- Create and implement engaging lessons that fulfill curriculum expectations and cater to varied learning needs.

- Plan and deliver curriculum content in alignment with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics.

- Utilize effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

- Establish a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that fosters respect and teamwork.

- Maintain consistent and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance learning experiences.

- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and relevant parties regarding academic performance.

- Encourage student well-being by promoting personal growth, resilience, and positive relationships.

- Actively engage in professional development to continuously enhance teaching practices.

- Embody the school’s MARK values in all interactions and represent DSGD positively.

- Effectively use school communication platforms to share information, resources, and updates.

- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and opportunities for community engagement.

- Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare policies to ensure student protection.

- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

- Ensure all teaching materials, planning, and curriculum content reflect Qatari national values and MOE ethics.
