About This Role

We are looking for experienced and successful teachers with a particular strength in numeracy and literacy, who can teach confidently across all key stages in secondary but predominantly KS3. In Year 7, pupils are taught through a primary model, where one teacher delivers the majority of the curriculum to their class. Year 8 and Year 9 are taught in a secondary‑model structure, with subject‑specialist classrooms and movement between lessons. We require all our teachers to be tutors for a class and to have a flexible approach .

The ideal candidate will bring with them a range of teaching expertise and interests that can be offered to our students to give them an enriched curriculum . You will bring our innovative curriculum to life as you maintain good order and discipline , engage pupils with SEN , and stimulate children of all abilities to reach their full potential . We will give you real scope to develop the social , emotional and cultural aspects of our pupils ’ learning , and encourage you to set clear targets for both behaviour and academic achievement . This means you will enjoy plenty of autonomy and wide ranging opportunities to shape the way we work .

We are looking for a teacher with:

  • A good knowledge of SEMH education and / or Autistic Spectrum Conditions / Learning difficulties & other special needs e.g. an understanding of trauma and attachment
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Experience with the use of assessment data and implementing strategies for raising achievement of pupils with SEMH
  • A commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team to actively promote inclusion and ensure the safeguarding of all pupils
  • Experience of managing HLTAs and / or LSAs in the classroom

Compensation

£32,951.00 - £45,351.00 Annually (Actual) MPS plus SEN 1 or 2 depending on experience
