About This Role

Abbotsholme is a co-educational school offering both boarding and day education, located within a spacious and picturesque estate on the border of Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Our commitment lies in a holistic educational philosophy that aims to nurture and enhance students' strengths and talents through outstanding academic instruction, exceptional pastoral support, and a diverse range of extracurricular activities.

We are currently seeking a part-time Psychology teacher to become a part of our dynamic team, responsible for delivering A-Level and GCSE Psychology (AQA examination board) to students in Years 10 through 13. The ideal candidate will possess:

- A genuine enthusiasm for the subject and a passion for teaching.
- Charisma, energy, and a lively approach to education.
- A positive, can-do mindset and a dedication to ongoing improvement.
- A thorough commitment to supporting student development.
- Values such as honesty, humility, courage, respect, and integrity, in line with the school's Behavior Charter.

Candidates should have an in-depth understanding of the current examination board (AQA) and a proven history of achieving outstanding exam results. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating engaging and challenging lessons that inspire and motivate all students, as well as leading the development of an exciting course that fosters an appreciation for the subject and its relevance.

We warmly encourage applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds, as both the school and its Advisory Board are dedicated to fostering an inclusive community.

To apply, please complete the attached Application form and send it along with a cover letter to s.riley@abbotsholme.co.uk by 27/03/2026. We reserve the right to fill the position before the closing date, so early applications are encouraged.

If you do not receive a response from us within three weeks of the closing date, please consider that, unfortunately, your application has not been successful.
