Head of Secondary

We are looking for a Head of Secondary to join our team in August 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Championing and promoting the ethos and standards of excellence as outlined in the GEMS and school Core Values.
• Supervising all facets of the Secondary School's offerings as the institution evolves.
• Ensuring exceptional care and support is provided to students within the Secondary School.
• Upholding high academic standards in the Secondary School, aligning with the school’s aspiration for all students to reach their full potential and adhering to the UAE National Agenda targets.
• Managing budgets and fulfilling teaching and other professional responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the Principal.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• Extensive experience in leading and managing the GCSE and A Levels processes.
• A dynamic leadership style with a proven record of continuous school improvement, evidenced by concrete data.
• A strong commitment to fostering excellence and ensuring high standards of care and opportunities for all students.
• A successful track record in leading and managing staff, including the promotion and development of innovative learning approaches.
• Experience in enhancing teachers’ skills and competencies through a comprehensive school improvement model.
• A thorough and confident understanding of best practice pedagogy for secondary education.
• A willingness to be innovative and creative in the educational offerings to ensure success for every learner.
• Proficiency in utilizing data to formulate clear strategies aimed at achieving outstanding progress and attainment across the Secondary School.
• A demonstrated commitment to inclusion.
• A genuine enthusiasm for engaging with the broader co-curricular life within a school setting.
