Principal Responsibilities:

  • Support the Principal and Vice Principal in meeting key strategic objectives by leading specific elements of the School Improvement Plan.
  • Take full responsibility for critical aspects of the Secondary School’s operations, providing analytical insights on performance against various key performance indicators.
  • Oversee all Secondary School activities related to CAT4 assessments, GL Progress Tests, and PASS data, ensuring effective communication of this information to key stakeholders.
  • Lead school-wide initiatives on TIMMS, PISA, and PIRLS assessments, collaborating closely with the data manager and exams officer.
  • Ensure that all staff, students, and parents have timely access to accurate and analyzed data regarding progress and achievement.
  • Guarantee that parents and students receive termly reports that are precise and delivered on time.
  • Guide the Heads of Department/Faculty and Grade Leaders in effectively sharing data, action plans, and development strategies with other staff members.
  • Organize parent consultation meetings each term, ensuring all information is accurate and timely.
  • Supervise the Heads of Departments/Faculty to maintain the rigor and validity of assessments.
  • Establish sustainable systems for external moderation of data and assessments across all key stages.
  • Maintain oversight of all data management systems utilized by the school, ensuring they are impactful and efficient.
  • Review all departmental SEFs and associated interventions each Half Term to verify effective resource utilization.
  • Manage Heads of Department/Faculty and classroom teachers to ensure efficient and impactful data management at the classroom level.
  • Guide the Heads of Department/Faculty to set ambitious target grades.
  • Develop effective systems to provide guidance for students and accurate predictions for GCSE and A Level outcomes.
  • Supervise the SENCo by consistently monitoring students of determination.
  • Contribute to elevating standards school-wide through precise need identification and appropriate reporting for action at all levels.
  • Deliver excellent professional learning and development, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, on the application of data in classrooms and leadership roles.
  • Lead strategic developments for specific phases that enhance attainment and outcomes for all students, as agreed upon with the Principal and Vice Principal.
  • Play a key role in preparing essential components of the School Evaluation Framework and managing inspection processes and procedures.
