Recruitment Process
Our primary recruitment phase includes in-person interviews with the Principal in the UK. Interview locations are:
- London – Saturday and Sunday, 28 February–1 March 2026
- Manchester – Saturday and Sunday, 7–8 March 2026
Other times and locations can be arranged flexibly by prior agreement. Candidates applying from outside the UK will follow the standard recruitment process, which may involve online or on-campus interviews as appropriate.
Position Profile
- Experience teaching in the UK is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in AL/IGCSE/AP for the relevant subjects.
- Ability to teach high-achieving students.
- A degree in the relevant subject area.
- A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
Specific Responsibilities of Teaching Position
- Create and deliver lessons in line with the Scheme of Work, incorporating a variety of learning activities.
- Develop and implement assessments in accordance with departmental standards, ensuring timely report submissions.
- Regularly assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and create assessments to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and supportive work environment through resource and best practice sharing.
- Opportunities to teach AP Economics.
- Potential to teach RPQ (projects) & GNT (Gifted and Talented).
Brief Description of SCIE
We are a high school following the UK curriculum (Cambridge International AS/AL & IGCSE), primarily instructing Chinese students preparing for international university admissions.
In 2025, we introduced an AP stream, providing opportunities for teachers to engage in AP subjects across various disciplines.

- Admissions are highly selective, requiring English and Mathematics tests.

Subject Department Introduction
The Economics department consists of 18 staff members within a larger Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which includes a total of 40 teachers. The primary focus is on economics, but there are also classes in Business Studies and Accounting. Prospective teachers will have the opportunity to teach AS, AL, and IGCSE Economics, with potential assignments in AS/AL Accounting or IGCSE Business Studies. Economics is a popular choice among students, with over half selecting it at GL level and a significant number continuing to A Level. The department boasts impressive results, with over 80% of students achieving A/A* at IGCSE and approximately two-thirds at A-Level. Each year, many students apply to prestigious universities in the UK, USA, and HK for courses.
