Egypt British International School (EBIS) is on the lookout for a dynamic and dedicated Music Teacher to become part of our faculty for the 2026 academic year, in line with our mission of Enriching – Exploring – Excelling and our core values of enrichment, empowerment, esteem, and excellence.

We seek a passionate educator who can cultivate a love for music and performance within a supportive, culturally rich British-curriculum setting. The ideal candidate will enhance students’ musical growth, creativity, and self-assurance while playing an integral role in a lively co-curricular program.

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field, along with recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

● At least 2 years of successful teaching experience, preferably in an international British-curriculum environment.

● Comprehensive knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Music.

● Capability to teach both practical and theoretical aspects of music including performance, composition, and listening skills.

● Experience in directing choirs, ensembles, or school performances.

● Proficient in positive classroom management and nurturing a culture of engagement and creativity.

● Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Job Description:

● Design and deliver captivating Music lessons that align with National Curriculum objectives.

● Foster students’ skills in performance, composition, and musical appreciation.

● Organize and lead school concerts, performances, and musical events.

● Ensure a safe, inclusive, and well-maintained music classroom environment.

● Assess, track, and document student progress while providing constructive feedback.

● Work collaboratively with colleagues on cross-curricular and whole-school projects.

● Encourage students’ confidence, creativity, and teamwork through music.

● Effectively communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing.

● Participate in weekly CPD sessions and engage in continuous professional development.

● Contribute to enrichment activities such as choir, band, or instrumental clubs.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
