Northview International School (NVIS) is on the lookout for a dedicated and student-focused Elementary Teacher to become part of our expanding international team in Doha, Qatar.

The Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Lower Elementary grades, delivering captivating lessons that adhere to the American curriculum framework while nurturing the academic, social, and emotional growth of students.

Core responsibilities encompass:


Designing and executing engaging lessons that align with the American curriculum


Instructing foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and science


Employing student-centered teaching methods that stimulate inquiry, discussion, and critical thinking


Incorporating technology and hands-on learning experiences to enhance active learning


Evaluating and tracking student progress through both formative and summative assessments


Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel valued and confident


Collaborating with fellow educators to enhance curriculum development and teaching practices


Actively participating in the broader school community through extracurricular activities and community involvement

Qualifications and Experience


A Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related discipline


A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)


Experience teaching at the Lower Elementary level


Familiarity with or training in an American curriculum framework


A dedication to student-centered and inquiry-based learning


Strong skills in classroom management and communication

Experience in an international school context is preferred but not mandatory.
