About This Role

August 2026 start

Step into the historic realm of Alexander the Great and the Mongol Hordes! Join us in Tashkent, the fourth largest city of the former Soviet Union and a significant stop on the Silk Road. Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Central Asia's largest Bazaar, savor local dishes like shashlik and plov, or unwind in a French-style café with a coffee and croissant while observing daily life. Adventurous spirits can hike or ski (seasonally) in the stunning mountains or explore the ancient cities of Samarkand and Bokhara. Uzbekistan offers a wealth of experiences in a safe and inviting setting. If this sounds appealing, keep reading! https://www.instagram.com/cometouzbekistan/

Westminster International School in Tashkent (WIST) offers an attractive salary, annual flight allowances, medical insurance, accommodation, free lunches, and opportunities for professional development, all within a newly constructed campus in the beautiful city of Tashkent. We seek dedicated, professional educators who possess the enthusiasm and commitment to engage in all aspects of school life, helping us realize our goal of becoming the premier school in Central Asia. We desire staff members who align with our values of responsibility, resilience, respect, and integrity.

We are currently accepting applications from fully qualified and licensed teachers for EYFS and Primary positions.

WIST is an independent international school situated in a modern, purpose-built facility that opened its doors in September 2019. We cater to students aged 2 to 18, delivering the IEYC, IPC, a modified version of England’s KS3 National Curriculum, (i)GCSE, and A Levels (Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel). Our educational philosophy is designed to inspire and challenge all learners, nurturing curiosity, a passion for learning, and a strong sense of belonging within our school community, along with a sense of responsibility to the broader community.

The campus has been meticulously designed to meet the educational needs of children, providing a stimulating and secure atmosphere. It is a premier learning environment featuring spacious classrooms, interactive whiteboards, robust ICT facilities, dedicated art, science, and computing suites, a 600-seat theatre, a full-sized gym, three swimming pools, two astroturf football pitches, and expansive outdoor play areas. Located in a green and accessible part of Tashkent, the school ensures safe and convenient access. WIST stands out not only for its exceptional campus but also for the remarkable staff and students who bring life and energy to our mission.

The school embraces an inclusive and globally oriented mission, focusing on the holistic development of each child while striving for academic excellence.

WIST is a growing, vibrant, and forward-thinking institution: mediocrity is not an option. We are in search of exceptional educators to join our dedicated team, as our teachers are outstanding professionals delivering remarkable educational experiences across all areas.

Educators enjoy a highly competitive tax-free salary with substantial savings potential, housing benefits, flight allowances, comprehensive medical coverage, luggage allowances, and the chance to work in a supportive and collaborative environment in a fantastic country.

Please fill out the application form, ensuring all sections, including the supporting statement, are complete, and upload your CV in the ‘documents section’ by April 12th (we encourage early applications as we reserve the right to appoint an outstanding candidate at any time).

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please reach out to our Principal at principal@wist.uz.

Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be conducted online on a rolling basis.
