We invite dynamic and inspiring Science Teachers with experience in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and IGCSE to apply for the position of Head of Science, Environmental Systems, and Societies Teacher!

What will you do on a daily basis?

As the successful candidate, you will:


Bring expertise in teaching senior school Science, Environmental Systems, and Societies, with valuable experience in IB MYP & DP and IGCSE.


Have a solid grasp of the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy and curricular framework.


Collaborate on curriculum development, including the creation of concept-based units of inquiry with authentic assessment strategies.


Engage students at all levels and tailor instruction to meet their diverse needs.


Utilize a constructivist learning approach and encourage student autonomy.


Foster international-mindedness and promote service learning.


Exhibit exceptional organizational skills.


Be approachable and visible, demonstrating excellent interpersonal abilities and a good sense of humor.


Embrace flexibility, creativity, and resilience.


Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the broader school community.


Teach additional related subjects as required, based on departmental needs and your expertise.

What will you bring to the table?

The perfect candidate will possess:


Experience with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and Diploma Programme (IB DP).


Valuable experience with IGCSE.


A background in teaching Science, Environmental Systems, and Societies across all senior school levels.


A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with a relevant teaching qualification.


Relevant international teaching experience.


Proficiency in English (both verbal and written).


Preferred: Experience or willingness to teach an additional, related subject such as Integrated Science, Foundation Biology/Chemistry, etc.


A dedication to continuous learning and staying informed on current research.


The ability to inspire, challenge, and empower students.


Creativity, compassion, and a strong desire to positively impact students' learning.
