Dubai Heights Academy
We are excited to invite applications for an exceptional Secondary PE Teacher with Academic PE expertise to join our faculty starting in August 2026 for the academic year 26-27.
Situated in Al Barsha South, Dubai Heights Academy opened its doors in 2017. We provide an inclusive, stimulating, and high-quality education to a diverse international student body from FS1 through Year 12 (2025-2026), with plans to expand organically to Year 13.
Our campus is equipped with modern facilities including distinct buildings for each educational phase, a 380-seat auditorium, and three temperature-controlled swimming pools. Additionally, we have fully equipped science and computer laboratories, dedicated spaces for art, design technology, music, drama, a library, two multipurpose sports halls, a full-sized football pitch, various outdoor recreational areas, and a spacious canteen. Our expansive 292,000 sqft campus features three buildings designated for different phases, and we are thrilled to announce the opening of our brand new secondary building in August 2025, which represents our most ambitious undertaking to date.
Dubai Heights Academy follows the National Curriculum for England, which has been customized to cater to local needs and supplemented with Arabic language, Islamic Studies, Moral Education, and Social Studies. Furthermore, we have collaborated with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) to create and implement a specialized AI (artificial intelligence) project-based program for secondary students and an early language program utilizing social robots for Primary, enhancing our comprehensive curriculum.

Job Overview
Dubai Heights Academy is looking for a vibrant and skilled teacher who possesses strong subject knowledge aligned with the National Curriculum for England and can contribute to ongoing improvements in student achievement and progress.
We seek applicants who are well-qualified, self-driven, adaptable, creative, and enthusiastic about joining a team dedicated to academic excellence.
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
• A B.Ed. or a degree with a PGCE / PGDE or equivalent, showcasing exceptional subject expertise.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with the National Curriculum for England.
• Extensive experience in delivering examination Physical Education programs, including GCSE, A Level, and/or BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.
• Coaching qualifications in one or more of the following areas.
The successful applicant will hold (or be pursuing) relevant Level 2 qualifications or higher in various primary physical education disciplines, which may include:
• Athletics – Level 2 (or equivalent), with experience in teaching track and field fundamentals at primary levels.
• Basketball – Level 2 / Level 3 (or equivalent) certification.
• Cricket – Level 2 (or equivalent ECB qualification) or above, with experience in teaching essential batting, bowling, and fielding skills at primary levels.
• Dance – Relevant Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification, experienced in both creative and curriculum dance instruction.
• Football – Level 2 (or higher equivalent).
• Gymnastics – Level 2 (or equivalent), with teaching experience in floor work, apparatus use, and fundamental movement patterns.
• Hockey – Level 2 (or above).
• Netball – Level 2 (or higher National Governing Body qualification).
• Rounders – Level 2 (or above).
• Rugby – Level 2 (or equivalent RFU qualification) or above, with experience in delivering tag and contact fundamentals suitable for primary-age students.
• Swimming – Minimum Swim England Level 2 qualification, with proven competence in leading swimming sessions for primary-aged children.
