The Position:

Head of Diverse Learning Needs

The ideal candidate will be an inclusive, compassionate, and seasoned educator and leader, bringing high expectations, a strong commitment to student support, and creativity to this role. They will understand the significance of equity, personalized support, collaboration, and innovation, working alongside the Diverse Learning Needs team to enhance student outcomes.

Educators and leaders at the Aga Khan Academy are:

3. Participating in the vibrant residential life of a school community that values and celebrates the diversity of its faculty and students.

Required training and experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a recognized postgraduate qualification in diversity and inclusion.

• Professional Teaching Qualification.

• A minimum of five years of experience working with students who have diverse learning needs.

• Relevant leadership experience.

• Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate and training in inclusive practices.

Required skills:

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency and accuracy in both spoken and written English.

• Technological skills that allow for innovative and effective use of information and communication technology in the classroom.

• Strong organizational capabilities.

Valued attributes:

• Certification for screening students with specific learning difficulties.

• Willingness to engage in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
