ICT Teacher

We are in search of a skilled ICT Teacher to join our team, specifically for the Middle Senior School level.

I. JOB PURPOSE

The ICT Teacher will be responsible for instructing subjects including, but not limited to, Technology, Software Engineering, and Computing Technology, while providing rich, ICT-focused learning experiences. This role entails engaging students with both practical and theoretical ICT knowledge and contributing to the advancement of the school's curriculum.

II. KEY RESULT AREAS/ RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Deliver outstanding instruction in Technology, Software Engineering, and Computing Technology.

2. Create and implement lessons that address a variety of learning needs.

3. Work collaboratively with department heads to enhance the ICT curriculum.

4. Participate in co-curricular activities related to ICT.

5. Design, plan, and execute high-quality teaching and learning activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.

6. Contribute to a rich and varied co-curricular experience for students at the school.

7. Build productive and respectful relationships with parents and colleagues to ensure effective student learning.

8. Uphold a safe and secure educational environment by maintaining appropriate standards of behavior.

9. Assess and report in accordance with the school's expectations.

10. Engage in tasks related to the ongoing development of the school’s curriculum.

B. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

1. Advanced proficiency in Python programming, mechatronics project development, and user interface (UI) design.

2. Experience in conducting coding-based lessons and hands-on programming projects.

3. Familiarity with the principles of Visible Learning is advantageous.

4. Proven skills in utilizing ICT to enhance student engagement and learning.

5. Experience in overseeing co-curricular activities.

6. Proficient spoken and written English is required for all school communications, necessitating a high standard of communication skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening for success in this role.

C. QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a degree in a relevant specialty with a Diploma of Education.

2. Current Teacher Registration in the home country, including relevant police checks.

D. EXPERIENCE

1. A minimum of 3 years teaching experience is required.
