Position: Visual Art Teacher (state other subjects)

Type: Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 25/05/2026, End Date: 08/12/2026 (Maternity Leave)

Location: Newlands College, Wellington

The Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic visual art teacher who can support the school’s vision. Familiarity with the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA is advantageous. Please state your teaching specialities in your application.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach visual arts to secondary students (Years 7–15).
• Support the development of confident, creative ākonga.
• Engage with the school community and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Certificated teacher status.
• Experience in teaching visual arts.
• Knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA.
