Teaching Assistant (with mealtime duty)
Full time to commence as soon as possible in September 2026
To be paid at NJC Band C Scale Point 6 £13.47ph (39 weeks per year) for the TA role and NJC Band A Scale Point 3 £12.85ph (38 weeks per year) for the MTA role.
This particular role is a fixed term appointment linked to EHCP funding to support pupils with SEND across the school, supporting children in class. We are looking for an individual who has experience of working in school and supporting children with SEND and generally in their learning. CPD will be provided along with support from outside agencies.

We are looking for someone with a strong, sensitive and caring approach to children’s needs, who is able to be an effective communicator and think creatively. You will need to show a high degree of initiative and be solution focussed.
Ideally, you will:
Provide a sensitive and nurturing approach to children’s needs
Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
Have excellent English and Maths skills
Be willing to work as part of a team and have a good sense of humour
Be able to use your own initiative when required
Have experience in a similar role in a school
Have prior knowledge and experience of working with children with special educational needs
You should have literacy and numeracy to GCSE A-C or equivalent.
