Subject Leader of History

York High School is seeking to appoint an outstanding, visionary Subject Leader for History with a proven track record of driving exceptional academic progress and achievement.

As part of our dynamic Humanities & MFL Faculty - comprising Geography, History, Religious Education, and Modern Foreign Languages - you will lead a department dedicated to inspiring a lifelong curiosity about the past.

The successful candidate will have the passion and expertise to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across all key stages and ability levels, challenging and supporting every student to reach their full potential. Beyond academic success, you will play a vital role in our whole-school culture, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to mentor young people, build meaningful relationships, and contribute actively to their broader personal development.
