About This Role

We are a large, co-educational, state secondary school in South Auckland that serves a truly diverse community.


Papatoetoe High School is seeking an inspiring and passionate Social Sciences teacher to work with our social sciences department from term 2, week 5, 2026.

The Role


Full time, Permanent


Key Responsibilities



  • Teach social sciences to secondary students (Years 7–15).

  • Engage students in a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

  • Contribute to the social sciences department and school community.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development.


Qualifications



  • Current New Zealand teacher registration.

  • Experience in teaching social sciences.

  • Knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum (NZC).
