Curriculum Overview
Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, adapted to incorporate the culture, heritage, and values of Qatar. The school offers a seamless educational journey from Early Years to Sixth Form, blending academic excellence with robust pastoral support and a focus on personal growth.
The DBS curriculum at all stages is designed to be relevant, enriching, and rigorous, combining academic challenges with elements of leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.
Ideal candidates must have:

A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor’s in Education or an equivalent qualification.
•
A valid teaching qualification like a PGCE or QTS, along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE should be paired with a subject-specific bachelor’s degree).
•
Exceptional subject knowledge, with extensive experience in teaching the National Curriculum of England.
•
Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level instruction.
•
A proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
•
A strong commitment to enriching the broader school community through extracurricular involvement.

This role is scheduled to commence in September 2026; however, staff should plan to arrive in the country by mid-August for orientation and induction.
