Curriculum Overview
Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, tailored to reflect Qatar's culture, heritage, and values. Our institution provides a cohesive educational experience from Early Years through Sixth Form, balancing academic excellence with robust pastoral care and a focus on personal development.
The DBS curriculum at all levels is designed to be engaging, enriching, and demanding, blending academic integrity with leadership skills, creativity, and global citizenship.
To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

An accredited educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
•
A recognized teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS, along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be backed by a relevant bachelor’s degree).
•
In-depth subject knowledge and substantial experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.
•
Experience in teaching IGCSE and AS/A Levels; (IB experience is preferred for applicants to the Ain Khaled campus).
•
A proven track record of delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences.
•
A strong commitment to engaging with the wider school community through extracurricular activities.

This position is scheduled to commence in September 2026; however, staff are expected to arrive in-country by mid-August for orientation and induction.
