Curriculum Overview
Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, adapted to reflect Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. The school provides a smooth educational journey from Early Years to Sixth Form, combining academic excellence with strong pastoral care and a focus on personal development.
The DBS curriculum is designed to be relevant, enriching, and challenging, merging academic rigor with leadership skills, creativity, and global citizenship.
Successful candidates must meet the following qualifications:
• A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
• A validated teaching credential, such as a PGCE or QTS along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE should be complemented by a subject-specific bachelor’s degree).
• Exceptional subject knowledge, with significant experience in teaching the National Curriculum of England.
• Experience in teaching International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level courses.
• A proven record of achieving outstanding teaching and learning results.
• A strong commitment to enhancing the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities.

This role is set to commence in September 2026, with staff expected to arrive in the country by mid-August for orientation and induction.
