ABOUT THE ROLE
Al Basma British School is in search of an enthusiastic and seasoned Head of Physical Education to spearhead and enhance our comprehensive PE program from Year 1 through Year 13. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a high-achieving, innovative school and influence the strategic approach to physical education, competitive sports, and overall wellbeing initiatives throughout the institution.
You will guide a committed PE team, manage the curriculum across all key stages, and advocate for physical health and active living within the school community.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We invite applications from dedicated educators with leadership experience in PE across various age groups (KS1 to KS5), who exhibit:
- Visionary leadership in Physical Education and Sport
- Strong grasp of the UK National Curriculum (PE)
- Experience in managing or contributing to school sports teams and inter-school competitions
- A commitment to student health, wellbeing, and physical development
- Confidence in leading and inspiring a team across both primary and secondary phases
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
- A UK-recognized teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent)
- Additional leadership qualifications or experience in whole-school initiatives (e.g., Duke of Edinburgh, Sports Leader Award, Wellbeing programs) are preferred.
