Music Teacher
About This Role
About our School
Hanoi Toronto School (HTS) stands out as a unique educational institution in Vietnam. Since its inception in August 2022, it has been the only school in the country providing international and integrated programs for Primary and Secondary education (Grades 1-12) that align with the Ontario Curriculum from Canada.
In Canada, the Ontario Curriculum is widely recognized for its ability to help every student achieve their full potential through a coherent, relevant, and age-appropriate learning framework. It emphasizes the importance of students being critically literate, enabling them to synthesize information, make informed choices, communicate effectively, and succeed in a rapidly evolving global landscape. The curriculum ensures that students feel connected to their learning, seeing reflections of themselves in the material, the teaching methods employed, and the broader world. It acknowledges the diverse needs of learners and aims to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to become informed, productive, caring, responsible, and engaged citizens within their communities and the world at large.
Ontario provides robust curriculum frameworks, resources, and achievement standards for both primary and secondary education. This curriculum undergoes periodic reviews involving curriculum developers, parents, teachers, and various stakeholders. The Ontario Ministry of Education offers sample activities and rubrics for instruction tailored to grade levels and subjects, enabling teachers to align their activities and assessments directly with curriculum objectives.
At HTS, we have adapted this curriculum to suit both our international and Vietnamese context, ensuring that it is on par with other prominent global curricula.
International Schools Partnership (ISP)
HTS is affiliated with the International Schools Partnership (ISP), one of the largest international educational networks, comprising over 90 schools across more than 20 countries. Students and staff at HTS benefit from being part of the ISP family, engaging in a variety of global learning opportunities. ISP is dedicated to the professional growth of its staff through its Learning First strategy.
HTS has a sister school in Ontario, Lynn-Rose, a distinguished private IB world school. Through collaboration with Lynn-Rose College, our students can earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and have the chance to study in Canada through exchange or transfer opportunities.
