About This Role
Thank you for your interest in the post of Finance Assistant at Alternative Learning Trust. This position is available as soon as possible.
The Trust is seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant who will have a sound knowledge of the financial working of budget monitoring, accounting techniques and production of reports. The successful candidate will support the Finance Team in maintaining the Trust's accounting systems so the ability to maintain computer based and paper based information with speed and accuracy is essential to the role.
Applicants must have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages which will be tested at interview. Experience of working with SIMS/ Access and in the education sector is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good standard of general education with at least GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent;
- Experience of working within a customer care or a busy finance office environment
- Strong working knowledge of a range of IT programs;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of people.
