Curriculum Overview
Doha British School adheres to the National Curriculum of England, customized to incorporate Qatar's culture, heritage, and values. Our school offers a seamless educational journey from Early Years through Sixth Form, merging academic excellence with strong pastoral support and a commitment to personal growth.
The DBS curriculum at every level is crafted to be relevant, enriching, and challenging, integrating academic rigor with leadership development, creativity, and global citizenship.
Candidates for this position must possess:

A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
•
A certified teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be supported by a relevant bachelor’s degree).
•
Exceptional subject knowledge, with significant experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.
•
Experience with IGCSE and AS/A Level teaching; (IB experience is preferred for applicants to the Ain Khaled campus).
•
A proven history of providing outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
•
A strong dedication to engaging with the broader school community through extracurricular initiatives.

This position is set to begin in September 2026; however, staff are anticipated to arrive in-country by mid-August for orientation and induction.
