Teacher of PE

• Qualified teacher status (QTS)
• Recent successful teaching, or teaching practice, of National Curriculum PE at KS3 and KS4 and academic PE.
• Experience organising and facilitating extra-curricular sports opportunities and teams.
• Ability to engage students in both practical and academic Physical Education
• A good knowledge of the National Curriculum in Physical Education
• A knowledge and understanding of data and how it can be used to raise standards
• An excellent communicator
• High expectations of oneself and of students
• A commitment to and interest in the well being, support and achievement of students
• A sense of excitement about teaching and working with young people
• A belief in teamwork and co-operation with adults and students
• A willingness to challenge oneself to seek continuous improvement
• To be positive about the need for innovation and change

• Experience of teaching the full age and ability range across KS3 and KS4 core PE
• Awareness of metacognition strategies and their application to Physical Education
• Understanding of disciplinary literacy demands of academic PE
• A passion for sport and its role in developing students' personal and academic skills
• Interest in further professional development
