Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Point 5(FTE £25,583 per year, approx. £15,030 Pro-rata)

Working 26 hours, 38 weeks per year

Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 3pm, finishing at 11:45am on a Thursday

Commencing: September 2026

Guyhirn CofE VC Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant team of enthusiastic, hardworking individuals. The successful applicant will be working primarily in a mixed Reception/Year 1 class; therefore a minimum of a Level 2 EYFS qualification is essential. About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally:

  • Have experience of working with children and hold an EYFS qualification (minimum level 2)
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Be enthusiastic, ambitious and serious about improving children’s life chances through education
  • Be highly organised, conscientious and able to set clear priorities when managing a busy workload
  • Be able work cooperatively and communicate clearly with fellow colleagues, parents and pupils
  • Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and has the ability to use their initiative
  • Be able to work flexibly and professionally

About Role

We are looking for an experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team, working 26 hours per week, 38 weeks per year with the working hours required being Monday - Friday, 8:15 am - 3 pm, finishing at 11:45 am on a Thursday.
