In the Early Years, our tailored, play-based continuous provision rigorously assesses students against the EYFS framework, laying solid foundations for future learning. Primary students benefit from a broad and enriching curriculum that includes various non-core subjects. In Secondary, learners complete IGCSEs by Year 11 before advancing to either the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) or the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) in Years 12 and 13.

The Post: Mathematics Teacher

We are looking to hire an outstanding Mathematics Teacher to join our exceptional school in August 2026.

The selected candidate will become part of an outstanding department known for its popularity and success. You will work alongside a team of highly motivated individuals passionate about student progress, the integration of technology in learning, and fostering a love for mathematics.

IGCSE and IB results at DIS have consistently been impressive. In 2023, 82% of our students attained a grade 6 or higher in IGCSE, while 94% of our IB students achieved a grade 5 or above. In recent years, several students have completed their IGCSEs a year early, earning “Best in the World” awards. These students have the opportunity to study Additional Mathematics in Year 11, where they have all achieved A/A grades.

The mathematics team is also dedicated to extra-curricular activities, participating in all three categories of the UKMT Challenge and the Dubai Maths Competition.

All secondary mathematics instructors may be expected to teach IGCSE Mathematics and IB Mathematics (Applications and Interpretations or Analysis and Approaches, at both Higher and Standard levels). Previous experience with an IB pathway would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Essential experience teaching GCSE Mathematics; A Level/IB Higher Level experience is preferable.
• A B.Ed.
